A Bargain Hunter’s Extravaganza

Depart from your accommodations in the early morning with private de luxe vehicle and English-speaking driver. Heading south of Florence, along the Valdarno, you reach the heartland of the Tuscan textile industry and the famous factory outlet known as The Mall. Similar to “company stores,” the establishments in this complex sell samples, over-runs and unsold merchandise from previous seasons. Here you will find Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Ferragamo, Yves St. Laurent, Valentino, Loro Piana, Agnona, Bottega Veneta, Emmanuel Ungaro, Ermenegildo Zegna, Hogan, La Perla, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Sergio Rossi, Tod's, Balenciaga, Marni, Pucci, Burberry and lots more. There is a trendy snack bar/restaurant on site and new shops being added regularly. On the return, you may also make a stop at the Prada or Dolce & Gabbana outlets which are nearby. For those more inclined toward a rock star aesthetic, the outlet of Roberto Cavalli in Osmannoro a few miles west of Florence can also be visited. Prices in these places are sometimes as much as 80% below retail!
