Located on the grounds of the stunning Villa Massei - the Renaissance-period country house of the noble Sinebaldi Family - in Massa Macinaia, fifteen minutes outside the walls of the ancient Tuscan city of Lucca, this delightful farm house has been newly restored by the present American owners, Gil Cohen and Paul Gervais. The surrounding gardens abounding in camellias, honeysuckle, wisteria and roses was the inspiration for Mr. Gervais' book, A Garden in Lucca and is surely one of the horticultural marvels of the Luccan countryside. The estate includes 60 acres under cultivation and the wine and olive oil produced here are both renowned.
The house sits on a high terrace affording views of the nearby Alpi Apuane.
